On Monday at 6:45, we’ll get a history lesson on the SS Atlantic, on what will be the 140th anniversary of its sinking off the coast of Nova Scotia.

At 7:15, we’ll meet Halifax film director Kris Booth who is competing against sixty other filmmakers in Canada for a $1 million production prize and guaranteed theatrical release.  He’ll tell us more about his movie, “Red Horizon” and the CineCoup film accelerator competition.

Zac Crouse has struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder since witnessing a friend die in a kayaking accident.  At 7:45, he’ll tell us about the film he’s made on the expedition he made alone –  the one he wanted to make with his friend – kayaking from Beachburg, Ontario to Halifax.

At 8:15, we’ll find out about Kazan Theatre Co-op, which is just a few years old but is already bringing home the hardware for its first two productions.  We’ll talk to co-founder Kathryn MacLellan about Kazan and a big fundraiser they have planned for later in the week.

And you’re in for a treat at 8:45, when we introduce you to high schooler Eric Martin.  He’s only 17, but boy, can he sing!
