Duron Carter to return to offence when Roughriders visit Eskimos

Saskatchewan Roughriders wide receiver Duron Carter (89) makes a one-handed grab for a touchdown in front of Toronto Argonauts defensive back Akwasi Owusu-Ansah (9) during first half CFL football action in Regina on Saturday, July 29, 2017. It was a good, bad and ugly type week in the CFL. Carter's one-handed grab in Saskatchewan's 38-27 win over Toronto would qualify as good with Argonauts defender Johnny Sears' stunning decision not to touch receiver Bakari Grant while he was on the ground being the bad.

Carter was the Riders leading receiver last season with 73 catches for 1,043 yards and eight TDs. But he moved to cornerback the second week of the season after incumbent Nick Marshall went on the six-game injured list with a finger injury.

Saskatchewan activated Marshall from the injured list Wednesday and he’s scheduled to start against Edmonton.

Carter’s return to offence is good news for Riders quarterback Zach Collaros, who’ll start against Edmonton after missing four games with a concussion.
