Officers are investigating a hit and run that happened on Monday evening involving a nine-year-old boy.

Police were called to the scene at 14th Avenue and the west alley of McAra Street at around 6:10 p.m.

It’s believed a silver, white or tan colored sedan was eastbound on 14th Avenue when the boy on his bike was riding southbound in the west alley on McAra Street.

He rode the bicycle out onto 14th Avenue where the vehicle hit his back tire.

The suspected vehicle failed to stop and continued eastbound on 14th Avenue.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured in the accident.
