‘She thought I was going to have a heart attack’: Dalmeny man wins $1M

Darcy Glover couldn’t wait until morning to tell his wife his about a $1 million win.

The Dalmeny man stays up late to check his Lotto Max tickets on Fridays. Glover said his wife doesn’t share in this habit.

“I ran into our room and said, ‘Are you awake?! I think we just won a million dollars!’” he said in press release.

“My wife sat up and said, ‘I’m awake now!’”

The happy winner said he spent a few minutes “whooping and hollering.”

“My wife kept telling me to calm down,” he said while laughing.

With the winnings, Glover said he will pay some bills, help out his kids, and start planning a trip with his wife to Niagara Falls.

He purchased his July 13 ticket at the Dalmeny Gas Bar & Liquor Store on Highway 305 South.

Dalmeny is roughly 20 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
