A 37-year-old man from Powassan is facing charges after police say he broke-in and assaulted several people at a shelter in Midland.
According to Southern Georgian Bay OPP, on July 23 at around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break-in on Elizabeth Street in Midland.
Police say once inside, the suspect allegedly assaulted three male guests before officers were able to locate and arrest him.

Police say the suspect was transported by County of Simcoe Paramedics to the Georgian Bay General Hospital to be treated for the injuries he sustained while breaking into the building through the front door.
According to police, the three guests suffered minor injuries and were treated by paramedics.

The 37-year-old man from Powassan has been charged with break and enter, mischief and three counts of assault, police say.
According to police the man was released from custody on an undertaking to appear in court in Midland on September 20.
