A deadly fire in Dundas is now being investigated as a homicide.

Hamilton police say the Ontario Fire Marshal has determined the fire was deliberately set.

The fire broke out around 3:45 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018,  at a home on Greening Court, killing its two occupants.

The blaze was immediately described as suspicious.

The victims were later identified as 64 year old Carla Rutherford and her 63 year old husband Allan Rutherford.

Hamilton Police are asking for anyone with information into this homicide or anyone who knew the victims to contact Detective Ben Adams at 905-546-3836. To provide information anonymously, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
