St. Thomas police say a female youth has been charged with assault with a weapon after a male on a bicycle was struck in the head by a skateboard.
Officers were called to the skate park just after 8 p.m. Tuesday on reports of an assault.
The investigation revealed the female youth struck a male in the head with the skateboard, knocking him off of the bicycle.
He was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
She has been charged with assault with a weapon and was released from custody on a promise to appear at a future court date.
