UPDATE: Driver rushed to hospital after 14th Street crash

CALGARY – One person had to be rushed to hospital after crashing her vehicle along 14^th Street N.W., Wednesday morning.

The driver was travelling southbound on 14^th Street near 7^th Street N.W., when her vehicle veered into the northbound lanes, striking a bus shelter and then rolling.

The driver was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being ejected from their vehicle.

She remains in hospital in stable condition

Northbound lanes of 14^th Street N.W. were closed for several hours while police investigated.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police don’t believe either speed or alcohol were involved
