UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Bloor Street East stabbing investigation

Oshawa, Ont. — Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing on Bloor Street East on Tuesday.

Police say they were called to Bloor Street East and Albert Street shortly after 2 p.m. on Tuesday. They found a male with stab wounds.

Police say the victim witnessed another dispute and attempted to intervene. Police say he was then stabbed. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested Christopher Baker, 24, at his residence on Garden Street in Whitby.

Baker has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with weapon weapons dangerous and breach of recognizance. He was held pending a bail hearing.
