Newlyweds barely dodge falling tree during wedding video

Newlyweds in Fredonia, Wis., were being interviewed for their wedding video when the unexpected happened: the tree above them came crashing down.

Cheyenne and Lucas Kopeschka managed to narrowly escape a falling tree branch by a split second. The whole incident was captured on video.

“You always see stuff like this on Youtube videos but never in real life and when we saw it, we were all just shaken up,” Freddy Hernandez, the wedding photographer told CBS.

The Kopeschkas opted to finish the interview in the same spot, even with the tree down. Although the incident could have turned out differently, the couple managed to laugh about it.

During the interview, Cheyenne quipped, “Our relationship is stronger than that tree.”

Hernandez told CBS, the tree split a picnic table in half so the couple could’ve been seriously hurt.

“We’ve never seen anything like this,” he said. “Just happy they walked out. We had an amazing rest of the day. They didn’t let this ruin their day.”
