Northwest drug investigation ends in charges for 7 people

Calgary police have charged seven people with various drug and weapons offences following an investigation in the city’s northwest.

Police said from June 19-21 they targetted the areas of Sunnyside, Memorial Drive bike path and North Hill Mall.

The area was identified “through calls for service and community concerns,” police said in a news release Thursday.

Police said they charged the following people with offences under the criminal code relating to trafficking controlled substances and weapons: Kevin Allen Bush, 36, Anthony Michael Delage, 21, Christopher Sterling, 40, Leonard Fellows, 24, James William Didyk, 40, Austin Bradly Luck 33 and Morgan Rouse, 38.

“The strategic enforcement of drug and weapons trafficking is a priority for the Calgary Police Service,” police said.
