Update: London police say the man has been identified and spoken with and there is nothing to suggest criminal intent.
For the second time in a week, London police are investigating reports of a man giving food to children at a school on Grey Street.
Police were contacted just before noon on Tuesday after a man provided freezies to kids outside Aberdeen Public School. The man is described as white, in his 50s, wearing multiple hats at once, potentially including a cowboy hat. He had on cargo shorts, long grey socks, and had a backpack and grocery bag. He was last seen walking westbound from the school.

Last week, police reported that a man went to the fence of the same school on Wednesday and offered children candy. A number of children took the candy and some ate it.
In that case, the man was described as a white man between 35-50 years old with a black trimmed beard. He was wearing a grey and red toque, a yellow rain jacket, and was last seen riding a bicycle.

980 CFPL has received a copy of the letter sent home to parents of students at Aberdeen on Tuesday.
It outlined Tuesday’s events and mentioned that “staff are making extra efforts to monitor the playground and have discussed with students the importance of not accepting items from strangers.”
Police note that providing food or items to children is not a crime, but it has caused concern to staff and parents and police are hoping to speak with the man involved.
