Morning folks, today I showed the new Kindle Touch 3G available to Canadians from Amazon.com International: www.amazon.com/kindletouch3Gintl
It is the best Kindle e-reader with the best features of previous models in one much improved, smaller, lighter, faster 6-inch model, $189 US plus shipping and tax works out to just under $200.
What makes Kindle Touch 3G special over competitors is a lifetime of free 3G data connectivity (yes, like a cellphone plan, only free) available in more than 100 countries. It also is WiFi capable, for often faster connections. But imagine travelling afar and being able to go online say in Hong Kong or Japan and download new books (about 1,140,000 books for Canadian owners) or check news online, even accessing Facebook and Twitter.

It has done away with all buttons for navigation but it’s faster and smoother to use than previous models. The virtual keyboard is faster responding and the page turns, basically touching the screen on either side are still the smoothest in the industry.
You can bookmark, highlight words with access to the Oxford American Dictionary, make notes, share passages on Twitter or Facebook, even listen to MP3 music while you read through a small speaker or headphone connection.
Its text to speech reader on allowed books is a bit tiny but gives your eyes a rest. You can transfer documents to it by connecting the USB cord to a computer.
I strongly recommend the ultraslim leather case that is skin tight and only adds a few millimeters to the slim e-reader.
