The death of two people at a Midale business on April 20 has been deemed a murder/suicide.

The RCMP concluded their investigation into the deaths of the two people on April 27.

From the time of the discovery of the bodies of the man and woman, the RCMP was not seeking any suspects as they believed this to be an isolated incident.

The investigation included a forensic examination of the scene by the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit, several interviews of potential witnesses by RCMP Regina Major Crimes, and forensic autopsies of both individuals.

The investigation determined the victim, Mary Lou Clauson, 61, was murdered by Patrick Ng, 74, both of Midale, Sask.

Clauson had been an employee at the Midway Restaurant owned by Ng.

The families of both individuals have requested the cause of death to not be disclosed, and the Saskatchewan RCMP will not be providing any further updates.
