The RCMP are investigating after a hit and run killed a 32-year-old mother in Maple Ridge.
The incident happened on Lougheed Highway near 222nd Avenue at around 10 p.m. on Thursday.

The vehicle was travelling westbound when it hit her, and the driver didn’t remain at the scene, the RCMP said in a news release.
The victim died there.
She’s been identified as Tassis Vix, a mother and an employee at the Haney Animal Hospital.
Police are seeking witnesses who are in the area when the hit and run happened, including anyone who may have had a dashcam and caught video of the incident.

Her brother described her as someone who “always opened her door to friends and treated them like family.”
