Snoop Dogg catches Winnipeg Jets playoff fever

It looks like the Winnipeg Jets may have gained a new fan, Snoop Dogg.

The NHL shared a video on Twitter Thursday of the world-renowned rapper congratulating the Jets on their playoff berth. The Jets also shared the video on Instagram.

Snoop Dogg is wearing an NHL jersey and referred to himself as “Dogg Cherry” in the video. He is standing in front of a screen playing Jets highlights and the team’s logo.

“Shoutout to Patrick Laine and the Winnipeg Jets for making the playoffs,” Snoop Dogg said in the video, adding, “I heard I was in the playoffs too? Is that true?”

There are a few different videos of the rapper talking about other NHL teams, including the Nashville Predators and LA Kings, circling on social media ahead of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The videos end with the words, “Snoop Dogg coming April 11,” that’s the same day the playoffs begin. Fans are now left on the edge of their seats, wondering what the videos mean.
