UPDATE: The body of a missing snowmobiler, who was swept awat by an avalanche, has been located in the Kootneay area.
The man was part of a group of seven snowmobilers when he went missing after the group got hit by an avalanche in the Hellroaring Creek, an area east of Nelson, B.C, yesterday.

One other person was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released. Rescue efforts for the missing man were initially hampered due to dangerous conditions and nightfall.
Cranbrook RCMP are not releasing further details or names at this time.
