The Saskatoon Blades have made another off-season move, this time parting ways with assistant coach Bryce Thoma.
The move comes just over two weeks after the WHL club fired head coach Dean Brockman.
Thoma joined the Blades for the 2016-17 season and was signed last August to a multi-year contract extension through to the 2019-20 season.
Prior to joining the Blades, Thoma spent three years as the head coach and general manager of the SJHL’s Weyburn Red Wings.
He has also been an assistant coach for the Red Deer Rebels, where he also played his junior hockey.
The Blades gave no reason for the move, but said in a statement they “would like to thank Bryce for his time with the organization and wish him nothing but the best in the future.”
