A southeast Edmonton bus terminal reopened Tuesday night, a little less than two hours after it was closed in connection with the police investigation of a suspicious package.
Police told Global News their investigation was centred around an area near both the Mill Woods Transit Centre and the community’s public library.
“Mill Woods Transit Centre has been closed while EPS is on scene,” the City of Edmonton tweeted shortly before 6:30 p.m. “Customers in the area are advised to catch the bus at temporary 23rd Ave stop.”
Shortly after 8 p.m., police confirmed their investigation centred around a suitcase but would not provide further details other than to say the situation “concluded without incident.”
