The owner of a west-end Toronto used vehicle dealership is still trying to clean up after a SUV allegedly driven by an impaired driver smashed into the front of the business and damaged several vehicles.
Abdallah Matar, owner of Lets Do This Auto Sales, told Global News he was woken up in the early hours of March 26 with news of the incident.
“I really expected something small. I didn’t expect to have a lot of damages in my lot,” Matar said.
“I didn’t expect someone to drive so fast into my lot and cause this much damage.”

In two surveillance videos shared with Global News by Matar, the SUV can be seen barreling into the front of the business on Rogers Road east of Keele Street. It can be seen crashing into a car and sending another SUV airborne and flying back into multiple other vehicles. The driver of the SUV emerges from the vehicle about 45 seconds later as smoke billows from the engine.
Matar said six vehicles were a total loss and 11 to 13 vehicles in total had some form of damage.
“I’ve been just trying to recover in terms of trying to clean up the place and everything,” he said, adding he is trying to reopen as soon as possible.

“It has been very stressful, very tough but what can you do? It happens to anybody … life goes on and we have to move on and start everything fresh.”
Toronto police told Global News a suspect driving a Honda Pilot was arrested after the crash.
Danny Dzandzurovski, 41, of Toronto was charged with impaired driving, having more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, failure to remain, dangerous operation of a vehicle and breach of probation. He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
