A woman who found four photographs along a roadside in Kingston is trying to track down the rightful owners.
While walking along Davis Drive, near Grandour Court on Tuesday, Shannon Donnelly found four photographs attached to two pages from what she believes was a photo album.
Donnelly said she did not see any other photographs in the area and she believes they weren’t outside for very long, because they were “in very good condition.”
Two of the photos are labeled, “Morrie, Ida and the baby, summer 1938.” The other two photos also seem to be from the summer of 1938, but show Morrie and Ida painting a house.
“I don’t think they were discarded, because they were nicely presented and labeled,” Donnelly told CKWS News in an email. “It looks as though they may have fallen out of a binder or an album.”
Donnelly said she would like to find the owner of the pictures because something similar happened to her recently.
“I recently lost someone dear to me and as I searched through my photos for a special memory with that person, I was unable to find it,” she said. “Photographs are precious memories and not easily replaced, if at all.”
