Winnipeg’s Fred Penner wins 2018 Juno Award

Winnipegger Fred Penner has won Children’s Album of the Year at the 2018 Juno Awards.

Penner’s album, “hear the music”, showcases vocals from his own family and roll calls from Canadian talents including Ron Sexsmith, Alex Cuba, Basia Bula, The Good Lovelies, Terra Lightfoot, Afie Jurvanen and Ken Whiteley.

This is the 4th Juno Award for Penner and his 11th nomination dating back to his last 13 albums.
