A Centre Hastings, Ont., man died Sunday after he became trapped underneath a trailer he was working on.
Around 12:30 p.m., Central Hastings OPP were called to a residence on Ray Road in the village of Madoc, about 83 kilometres east of Peterborough. There they found a 51-year-old man who was trapped underneath a tilt-load trailer on his property.
“He was freed with help of his neighbours but was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Const. Lisa Robson stated.

An ORNGE air ambulance was in the area but was not required, OPP said.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
The victim’s name has yet to be released.
