Firefighters are on scene Friday evening battling a fire that broke out at a home in the 8300-block of 121A Street in the Newton area.
Thick grey smoke can be seen billowing out of the house.

Multiple fire trucks and police cars are in the area.
Prem Singh was sitting in his living room when the fire broke out.
“I was just sitting down there and heard a big explosion and then I saw the big smoke coming up from the house,” said Singh. “Then I heard lots of other bang, bang, bang noises coming out from the house, big noises.”
That’s when Singh says he called 911.
