TORONTO – At approximately 5:10 p.m. EDT, Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Chris Hadfield will take command of the International Space Station (ISS) for the duration of Expedition 35.
He will be the first Canadian to assume command of the ISS.
His duties include overseeing the various scientific experiments aboard the ISS and tending to the station’s overall maintenance.
He is expected to return to Earth in May 2013.
