School cancellations around southern Manitoba on Tuesday, March 6

The cleanup continues this morning in the wake of Monday’s snowfall.

The city’s plow job is now a big grader operation, finishing up on main routes, collectors and bus routes.

Back lanes will start being plowed at 7 o’clock Tuesday morning.

The Declared Snow Route Parking Ban – barring parking on snow routes between midnight and 7 a.m. – will stay in effect until Wednesday morning.

The residential plow will begin Wednesday evening and run for several days.

The highways are getting better. There are no major closures this morning, although many highways still have snow packed and slippery sections. Some smaller highways in western Manitoba near the Saskatchewan border are still closed.
