Loblaw Companies Ltd. issued a Canada-wide recall for certain cooked shrimp packages over possible presence of raw shrimp, which may contain harmful bacteria.

Loblaws is recalling 300-gram packages containing 56-65 cooked Pacific white shrimp, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

Though no illnesses have been reported, the CFIA is warning customers not to consume the recalled product over fears it may contain harmful bacteria.

The shrimp is sold at the following Loblaw-owned stores:

Ontario: Fortinos, Independent, Loblaws, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, Valu-Mart, Wholesale Club, Zehrs and affiliated independent stores.

Atlantic: Atlantic Superstore, Dominion, Independent, No Frills, Wholesale Club, and affiliated independent stores.

Québec: Club Entrepôt, Maxi, Maxi & Cie, Provigo, Provigole Marché and affiliated independent stores

West: Extra Foods, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, Wholesale Club, Independent and affiliated independent stores.

The packages contain product code 2018 OC 20: PM AP and UPC 0 60249 00927 1.

The CFIA said the recall was triggered by the company and consumers should toss the product out or return it to the place of purchase.
