Andreas Pfenning left his home on Christner Road Monday afternoon to go hunting and has not been seen since.

Police said on Tuesday they have reason to believe that he fell into the Nith River and drowned.

OPP are assisting with the operation and police are asking anyone in the area to be cautious of fast-moving and rising water levels.

A candlelit vigil is being held in New Hamburg Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at Kirkpatrick Park.
