Hello 2011!

Goodbye 2010, it's been fun. Hello 2011!

Ah, a new year. Whenever a new year rolls around, the air is always filled with endless possibilities and optimistic attitudes about the clean state, a fresh start.

I never make new year's resolutions. Aren't resolutions meant to be broken? But this year, I was suddenly confronted by someone about my resolution and out came these words: be active.

I don't consider myself the most physically active person out there. I mean, I wish I were, don't get me wrong, but now that I live in the Okanagan, I don't really think I have a choice anymore. Everyone here seems to have at least three different physically-exerting hobbies!

So yesterday, I decided to adventure up Knox Mountain. I took the easiest route (hey, I'm building up my endurance and stamina) and got a great view of Kelowna and the lake. And my hiking experience proved that looks can be deceiving: the route looked simple but I did face a few steep runs and slippery slopes.
