Apology issued for 50/50 draw at Kingston Frontenac’s game

The Executive Director of Business Operations with the Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club has issued an apology after the wrong name was announced for the 50/50 draw at an afternoon game on Monday February 19th. By error, they announced the name of the winner of the autographed stick for the Canadian Cancer Society as the winner of the 50/50 draw before they had announced the winning 50/50 number. Shortly thereafter they realized the error and corrected it on the PA.  In a memo sent out to fans, the Executive Director of Business Operations, Justin Chenier, informed people that the draw are run electronically through technology from 5050Central, which is licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The memo was sent out after a number of complaints received by the public.
