Three men injured in armed assault near Beaudry Metro

Montreal police say three men have been taken to hospital after being involved in an armed assault.

The three victims were 19-, 20- and  21-years-old. Police say they sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The altercation happened Monday at 4:10 p.m., at the intersection of Sainte-Catherine and Beaudry streets.

Police apprehended a 25-year-old suspect near the scene of the crime at the corner of René-Lévesque Blvd. E. and Amherst St.

“After meeting with the victims and a few witnesses, we know we are not talking about a hate crime.” Montreal police spokesperson Benoit Boisselle told Global News.

The motive for the attack is being investigated.
