Missing 73-year-old woman found safe: Peel police

A 73-year-old woman who had been missing since Thursday morning was found safe Sunday, Peel Regional Police say.

Carole Berry was last seen around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the area of Hurontario Street and Elgin Drive in Brampton.

Police said Berry was found by a concerned citizen who contacted emergency services, who then brought her to a local hospital.

Berry’s daughter Andrea Berry told Global News Sunday it is unclear how long she had been in hospital.

Police tweeted just after 5:15 p.m. Sunday “Ms. Carole Berry has been found. Thank you all for the assistance.”

Another daughter, Susan Berry, also tweeted around 5 p.m. Sunday “My mum has been found!  Carole Berry is okay! Thank you everyone for helping to find her.”

Carole Berry’s family is currently heading to the hospital to reunite with her.
