Large amount of Marijuana seized in the Queen City

REGINA – A joint effort by the Regina police and RCMP has taken a large quantity of drugs off Regina streets.

On Sunday in the Queen City police executed a search warrant on a home and during the search they seized 17 pounds of marijuana and $13,000 in cash.

The police also seized five vehicles.

The following people have been arrested:

Thirty four year old Shane R LESTER, DOB: 06/20/1978, is charged with:
• Instruction of an Indictable Offence for a Criminal Organization – Section 467.13 Criminal Code
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime – Section 354 Criminal Code
• Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Thirty year old Curtis Ryan GRUELL, DOB: 03/10/1982, is charged with:
• Participation in Activities of a Criminal Organization – Section 467.11 Criminal Code
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime – Section 354 Criminal Code
• Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine – Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Twenty eight year old Paul Jarret TUNNEY, DOB: 04/02/1984, is charged with:
• Participation in Activities of a Criminal Organization – Section 467.11 Criminal Code
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime – Section 354 Criminal Code
• Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession of Psilocybin – Section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Twenty eight year old Jason John SPEILER, DOB: 01/03/1985, is charged with:
• Participation in Activities of a Criminal Organization – Section 467.11 Criminal Code
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime – Section 354 Criminal Code
• Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Twenty eight year old Jesse MORRISSEAU, DOB: 09/28/1984, is charged with:
• Participation in Activities of a Criminal Organization – Section 467.11 Criminal Code
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime – Section 354 Criminal Code
• Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Twenty five year old Wendy Shelley GARUIK, DOB: 05/27/1987, is charged with:
• Participation in Activities of a Criminal Organization – Section 467.11 Criminal Code
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime – Section 354 Criminal Code
• Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana – Section 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

They all will make their first court appearance on Monday.
