SAINT-JOSEPH-DE-MADAWASKA, N.B. – Police in northwestern New Brunswick say a man from the U.S. is dead following a weekend snowmobile crash.
RCMP say the 72-year-old died at the scene of the accident Saturday, about 40 kilometres northwest of Moose Valley Lodge in Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska.

Police say the man from Derry, N.H. missed a turn and ran into a tree.
Speed is believed to be a main factor in the crash.
The victim’s name has not been released.
