The pickup truck nearly became pinned between the bus and a light standard in the corner of the intersection as a result of the force of the impact.

The transit bus was estimated to be half full of passengers at the time of the collision.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says the driver of the truck, a Kelowna man in his 70’s, was issued a violation ticket for a charge under the BC Motor Vehicle Act.

The pickup truck was towed from the scene.
