MONTREAL – A collision between a school bus and a car has left one man dead early Friday morning in the town of St. Calixte in Lanaudière, northeast of Montreal.
There were no children in the bus at the time. The accident happened on Route 335 at 6:45 a.m.

According to Sgt. Benoit Richard with the Sûreté du Québec, the car’s driver died after he lost control of his vehicle and it was hit broadside – or ‘T-boned’ – by the bus on the driver’s side.
The bus then went off the road into the snowy ditch. The bus driver suffered minor injuries in the accident.
