Arrests made in 2012 murder of Brampton man

TORONTO – Peel Regional Police have arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of a 32-year-old Brampton man.

Police responded to a call of gunshots near 7170 Darcel Avenue in Malton around 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2012.

Dwayne Alexander Thompson was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday, police executed multiple search warrants in Brampton, Mississauga and Toronto in relation to this investigation.

As a result, Amal Everton Greensword, 23, of Brampton and Adrian Jordan Williams, 19, of Mississauga were arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Police have also issued a Canada-wide warrant for Steven Vanroy Browne, 22, who is wanted for first degree murder in connection to the case.

Officers consider Browne to be armed and dangerous.
