Many residents in the North Okanagan are waiting to hear if the Regional District will be held partly liable for the contamination of a Lavington water well three years ago.
Now, they are going to be waiting even longer.
The Regional District faces charges in connection with the contamination incident, which occurred after a dairy farmer spread manure over snow-covered fields near the municipal drinking well.
When effluent from the fields washed into the water system, 1,800 people were on a Do Not Consume water order for a week.
The farmer and the District of Coldstream were fined after pleading guilty to regulatory offences this summer.
The Regional District has denied any wrongdoing in the incident.
The trial was originally scheduled to be completed Tuesday but there have been delays involving some of the witnesses. The trial will continue later in the spring.
