Two Quebec men were arrested for fraud as they arrived in Saskatoon on a passenger train.
Saskatoon police received a call from staff on the incoming train at around 2:10 p.m. CT on Thursday about suspicious credit card activity by two passengers .
Officers attended to the 1700-block of Chappell Drive when the train pulled into the station at 4:50 p.m.
Police were told the two 23-year-old men had used a credit card in someone else’s name.
Further investigation resulted in the seizure of $1,000 worth of postage stamps, $10,000 worth of jewelry, 40 gift cards, two laptops and a skimming device, police said.
The accused are currently facing charges of fraud over $5,000. One of them is also charged with breach of probation and breach of recognizance.
Additional charges are pending against both men as the investigation continues.
