UPDATED: Driver charged after colliding with pickup on Parkhill Road East in Peterborough

A Peterborough man has been charged after the pickup he was driving slammed into the back of another pickup in the city early Sunday morning.

Police say around 12:30 a.m. one of the trucks pulling a trailer with large appliances had stopped and attempting to make a turn along Parkhill Road East near Leahy’s Lane.

Thats when another pickup slammed into the back of it, police said.

A man and a woman were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police arrested and chargedCharles Thomas McGrayne, 66, of Parkhill Rd E., after he allegedly refused to provide a breath sample when police requested one. He appeared in court later that day.
