Man arrested by Halifax police after disturbance at Dartmouth marijuana dispensary

A suspect was due in court today to face multiple charges following a disturbance at a medicinal marijuana dispensary in Dartmouth.

Halifax regional police say they were called to the Atlantic Compassion Club Society yesterday afternoon when a man became belligerent after he was refused service for not having proper identification and then drove off erratically in a stolen motor vehicle.

They say he returned a short time later and flashed a firearm — which turned out to a replica BB gun — at another customer in an attempt to get that customer to buy cannabis for him before he drove off again in the stolen car.

Police say they later located the vehicle and arrested the suspect after he tried to flee on foot.
