Mother Nature won’t be handing out any weather treats for Halloween this year.

The forecast calls for cloudy conditions with a chance of showers and a high of 9 C for Halloween on Tuesday. To make matters worse, it will also be windy.

On a more positive note, the forecast does call for snow in some parts of Ontario and Quebec, but not for the London region.

Halloween may be only days away, but if you haven’t figured out your costume for next week, or for a Halloween party this weekend, don’t fret.

There’s still time to find the perfect getup.

“Whether you want to go a full costume and just pull something off the rack and throw it on and your costume is done, or if you want to put together accessories and then, you know, you’ve got your own clothes at home, that’s fine too. We can help you with all of that. You name it, we pretty much have it,” said Rose McCullugh of McCullugh’s Costume and Party Supplies.

Asked what costumes are most popular this year, McCullugh said a Stephen King character topped the list.

“As far as the adults are concerned, and kids too actually, Pennywise is topping the list, followed by Beauty and the Beast, and Harley Quinn is still popular from Suicide Squad,” she said.

For the little ones, McCullugh said, it’s the usual suspects.

“It’s still the DC Comics and Marvel characters, they want to dress-up as their favourite superheroes for the most part. We’ve got a few new gargoyles and that sort of thing that the older boys are quite enjoying this year,” she said.

McCullugh added they have thousands of costumes ready and waiting to be chosen by Halloween-goers of all ages.
