Cobourg police are investigating the discovery of a body in the town’s east end. Officers were called out to Workman Road on Thursday afternoon where police say they found a body in a vehicle.
Workman Road was shut down for several hours from Highway 2 to Elgin Street for the investigation.

The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Cobourg police say there is no danger to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
The road is expected to be closed for several hours.
