Jamie Baillie says he still hasn’t decided whether to stay on as leader of the Progressive Conservatives for the long haul.
After falling short of forming government in May, Baillie would only commit to leading the party through the fall sitting. With that expected to wrap up on Thursday, he said he still hasn’t decided whether he’ll stay on as leader.

“Those are very personal discussions that belong to my wife Sandra and my family and I,” he said.
“When we’ve concluded them I will assure you you’ll be among the first to know.”
He said he would make a decision “after the fall session is over” — something that’s expected to happen Thursday evening. But he wouldn’t give any other details on the timing of his announcement.

Baillie has been the Progressive Conservative’s leader since 2010.
In the 2013 election the party formed the official opposition and in the 2017 election, the party gained seven new MLAs, bringing their total in the legislature to 17 members.
