A wildlife specialist will be working in the Strathcona ravine over the next 5-7 days setting up live traps but only after dark.

The traps will not be active during the day and officials say they do not pose any risk to people or pets, however it is very important that pets remain on a leash at all times in the area.

Signs have been posted at the major entry points into the ravine.

People who witness unusual or aggressive behaviour from a coyote are asked to call 311.
