UPDATE: The owner has come forward and surrendered his dogs. They will be euthanized.

Time is running out for two dogs who attacked and killed another dog in Kelowna.

The attack happened last Sunday on the Mission Creek Greenway where two adults and child were walking their small dog.

The small dog was attacked by two Presa Canarios. The man walking the dogs fled the scene.

The dogs were found by Central Okanagan Dog Control Services unattended.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan said the dog owner has yet to come forward.

It said if the owner doesn’t claim his dogs by this afternoon, they will be euthanized.

A gofundme account has been set up for the family that lost their dog in the attack.

So far, more than $3,600 has been raised.
