BC Ferries estimates about 120 litres were spilled.

Crews immediately shut down operations and are cleaning up the oil.

The Coastal Inspiration has been taken out of service and passengers are being redirected to Departure Bay.

The Queen of Alberni is now servicing the route between Departure Bay and Tsawwassen.

A spokesperson for BC Ferries says they hope to re-open Duke Point later today and passengers should check the website for updates.
