Investigators determined the car was headed north on 169 Street before turning west onto 87 Avenue at the time of the collision.
A 46-year-old man has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk under the Traffic Safety Act.
Police said speed and alcohol were not factors in the collision.
