Surrey Mounties were investigating a shooting that took place between two vehicles in the Whalley area on Wednesday night.
Police responded to a report about a shooting in the 13300-block of 90th Avenue close to 134 Street at about 9 p.m., said a news release.

An initial investigation has determined that a light-coloured sedan fired at a SUV that was dark-coloured.
The vehicles left the scene eastbound on 90th Avenue and there are currently no further suspect descriptions, police said.

Police were canvassing the neighbourhood and talking to witnesses to obtain more information on Wednesday night.
The investigation is in its early stages, but there are indications that this was targeted.
