Nova Scotia says 5,000 more households will qualify for help this year under an expanded home heating rebate program.
The Heating Assistance Rebate Program provides up to $200 to help Nova Scotians heat their homes.

This year, income thresholds have increased by $2,000 to $29,000 for single households and to $44,000 for family households.

Service Nova Scotia Minister Geoff MacLellan says the program already provides help to more than 40,000 households across the province, and he is pleased to be able to extend that support to even more families.
